End User License Agreement
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement” or “EULA”) is a legally binding contract between you (“User”) and Reed Light Books, an imprint of Aperture Work LLC (“Creator,” “we,” or “us”). By accessing or using this tool in any form — including but not limited to the web-based interface, any embedded version, or any derivative implementation — you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement in their entirety.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this tool.
1. Description of the Tool
The Clear Worship by Reed Light Books (the “Tool”) is an AI-assisted resource designed to help individuals, worship leaders, and church communities reflect on the theological content, doctrinal alignment, cultural heritage, and poetic construction of Christian worship lyrics. The Tool uses artificial intelligence to generate analysis based on submitted or retrieved song lyrics.
The Tool is intended solely as a resource for personal reflection, study, and ministry discernment. It is not a substitute for qualified pastoral counsel, formal theological education, denominational authority, elder oversight, or any other form of recognized spiritual leadership.
2. Grant of License
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, the Creator grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Tool for personal, non-commercial ministry purposes only. This license does not include the right to:
- Reproduce, redistribute, or resell the Tool or its outputs for commercial gain.
- Represent the Tool's outputs as authoritative theological or doctrinal rulings.
- Incorporate outputs into publications, curricula, or official church documents without appropriate qualification and attribution.
- Use the Tool to harass, defame, or misrepresent any individual, song, tradition, denomination, or community of faith.
- Circumvent any technical measures, filters, or rate limits implemented in the Tool.
- Submit content that is not worship-related lyrics or song URLs for the purpose of testing, exploiting, or abusing the Tool.
3. AI-Generated Content — Critical Limitations
The analysis produced by this Tool is generated by artificial intelligence. It is not authoritative theology. It may be incomplete, mistaken, or misleading. Do not make pastoral, liturgical, or doctrinal decisions based solely on this Tool's output.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated theological analysis reflects patterns in training data, not infallible doctrinal judgment.
- The Tool may misidentify doctrinal positions, misattribute traditions, or miss significant nuances.
- The charitable readings and tradition alignments provided are interpretive suggestions, not settled conclusions.
- No analysis from this Tool should be quoted as the opinion of any theologian, pastor, denomination, or church body.
- Results should always be reviewed by qualified human judgment before influencing worship planning or community decisions.
4. Copyright and Intellectual Property
Worship song lyrics submitted to or retrieved by this Tool remain the intellectual property of their respective copyright holders. By using the Tool, you represent and warrant that:
- Any lyrics you submit are either in the public domain, licensed to you under a valid CCLI or equivalent license, or submitted under fair use for the purpose of personal study and commentary.
- You will not use this Tool to circumvent, undermine, or replace the legitimate licensing of copyrighted worship music.
- When using the URL input feature with SongSelect or similar services, you represent that you hold a valid, active subscription to that service and are accessing content within the scope of that subscription.
The Tool does not store, archive, or redistribute submitted lyrics. Analysis outputs generated by the Tool are provided for your personal use and do not convey any rights in the underlying lyric content.
5. Prohibited Uses and Abuse Prevention
The following uses are expressly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access:
- Submitting content that is not worship music lyrics or legitimate song-related URLs.
- Automated or scripted use of the Tool, including bots, scrapers, or bulk submission tools.
- Repeated identical submissions designed to consume API resources.
- Using the Tool to generate content intended to mock, attack, or misrepresent any tradition, denomination, church, worship leader, or songwriter.
- Submitting URLs to pages containing harmful, illegal, or non-worship content.
- Any use that violates applicable local, national, or international law.
The Tool employs rate limiting, input validation, and content screening. Circumventing these measures constitutes a material breach of this Agreement.
6. No Warranty
The Tool is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, theological accuracy, doctrinal completeness, or non-infringement. The Creator does not warrant that the Tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from offensive or inaccurate content.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Tool, including but not limited to:
- Worship disputes or conflicts arising from reliance on Tool outputs.
- Theological error communicated to a congregation based on Tool analysis.
- Decisions to adopt, retire, or restrict worship songs made in reliance on Tool results.
- Any claim by a third party related to copyright, defamation, or misrepresentation arising from your use of the Tool.
The Creator's total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims shall not exceed zero dollars ($0.00), as this Tool is provided free of charge for ministry use.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Creator and any affiliated persons from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Tool; (b) your violation of this Agreement; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including copyright or licensing obligations; or (d) any content you submit to the Tool.
9. Modifications to the Tool and Agreement
The Creator reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Tool at any time without notice. The Creator also reserves the right to update this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the Tool following any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Creator resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any legal action is pursued.
11. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
This analysis is generated by artificial intelligence and is provided for reflection and discussion purposes only. It does not constitute authoritative theology, pastoral counsel, or official doctrinal position. Results may be incomplete or mistaken. Do not make worship planning or doctrinal decisions based solely on this output. Always consult qualified pastoral leadership. Song lyrics remain the property of their respective copyright holders.
